I imagine in small towns somewhere, there are folks making those same kinds of memories, but times sure have changed for the most part. Happy holidays. We walked everywhere because we could and because it's all we had. Until we got our first bicycles. We never had snow, though. One time in all the years I was growing up, and the tiny accumulation was gone in about 90 minutes.

Thanks for bringing back those memories, and a very merry Christmas to you!Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767543972798061097.post-53413809722879347372013-12-10T18:14:31.282-05:002013-12-10T18:14:31.282-05:00Thanks for sharing your beautiful memory with us, ...Thanks for sharing your beautiful memory with us, Gloria. :)Gramma Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16900663934332141986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767543972798061097.post-56443262420625041172013-12-10T11:30:32.008-05:002013-12-10T11:30:32.008-05:00Wow what an awesome memory. I could see you, in coats and saddle oxfords? Did you wear those? That is what I pictured. But you probably had boots on. My Nana is form Texas. Mom lived there for her younger years too. Where was the weiner place? Are you still in Texas?
I loved hearing your recollection of that evening!!
Merry Christmas!
XO KrisKrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15578853096888320012noreply@blogger.com
