A Finish

The  Square in a Square blanket is done.  Thank you Debi (Dly's Hooks and Yarn) for sharing this wonderful pattern.  As I said before, it is fun to make and the pattern is very clear and easy to follow.   This one is for a baby boy due in November.  The next one is going to be done is all different colors to add to my have on hand lapghans. 
 
Sarafia afghan CAL continues with the twelve petal daisy ghan (also a CAL) now in the works. 





Very shortly a new table topper will be added too ... this is from Leisure Arts Exquisite Table Toppers.  I was fortunate to find the book as it is now out of print.  This is Vikki's (By Hooks 4U) Topper and as soon as I saw it I just had to find the pattern.  Thank you Vikki for your help in locating.    Didn't Vikki do an amazing job on this ... I hope I can do as well.

And the work week is in full swing.  Off and running shortly for the morning, looking forward to moving the hook later on this afternoon.  Maybe at Barnes & Noble with a "skinny" java chip.  A friend told me about the skinny, it really tastes good!  I didn't notice any difference from the high test.    A new summer favorite.  Mmmmmmmm.

The hook is busy now between two baby blankets.  My pink daisy is taking shape, however I think I may make it larger then I had originally planned so will need additional squares.  And the square within a square has been started.  I love it.  A wonderful, fun pattern designed by Debi of Dly's Hooks and Yarns.  The pattern is well writen, easy to follow and goes up quickly.

Look what a car ride can do.

Simply Simple Afghan, my friend's granny pick from June is finito! Passing time on a drive and especially in a good hour traffic jam and the results are smashing. I really love how this came out and will be adding a hexagon sweater to make a set. I used Lion's Pound of Love and its oh so soft. Perfectly cuddly for a little one.

Another keeper pattern. I would love to see this as a bed cover with larger granny squares for the middle. Here we go ... back on the to do list.

Have started the Elegant Pineapple Afghan, almost finished with the first square ... this is another fantastic pick!

Granny Pick Progress

Forty little squares to make and join. That seemed like it was going to last forever but now they are done and together.






And now the border. This is the really simple part, not that any of it was hard. Makes for a relaxing evening of tv and crochet.














I think there are about another dozen rows to do. It will be a nice newborn blanket.

Anxious to see what her next granny pick will be although I will get my granny ripple completed next (along with some thread crochet).

One Baby Blanket

FINISHED!

I have so enjoyed making this blanket and am sure I will be making others. The pattern for this lovely is called Ryann's Cuddle Cover and can be found at Crochet Mary Ellen's Home on The Web Ryann's Cuddle Cover & Gerbera Daisy Patterns

After joining the squares I added a border of three rows of single crochet, then one row of 3 single crochets, 5 double crochet in next single crochet ... around, join and finish off.

This particular blanket is for a little girl scheduled to arrive in May. Now to find some accessories to add.

Baby Blanket Progress

I am still enjoying my latest square pattern. I can see that I will be making several of these.

I have also found a few other squares (I will share at another time) which not only look beautiful but are great for using up scrap yarn.
























Will have to pick up another skein of white tomorrow as I am running low. In the meantime I have started joining some of the squares.



Eight squares are done, I think maybe 4 more to complete the blanket for 30" x 40" before a border. I think that should be big enough.
