  1. Hi Glor, lovely pattern and my favorite color combination (blue and yellow). I made your Diane Doily last nite and posted about it. I used the same cotton I use for my dishcloths so it is rather big. I definitely need to go get some thread and will give it another try. Thanks for sharing! Best wishes, Tammy

  7. Oh, how pretty - I have a wooden Angel like that, only she's holding a basket full of apples. I like your patterns.

  13. What a great idea! I've only ever made them in a circular pattern. Never thought of 3-sided. I'm going to share your doily project with a few of the crocheting laidies in my local knitters group. I'm sure your doilies will be a hit.

  15. This doily is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to finish it! Will you please explain a bit about your pattern for me?

    >15. Ch 3, *dc in each dc to st before sc, tr in that st, in sc [dtr, ch4, st st to top of dtr, dtr, ch5, st st in top of dtr, dtr, ch 4, sl st in top of dtr, tr in next st* around, join.>

First, am I doing a picot in those dtr's in the sc's? And do I actually start with dc's around but change to tr's after doing the stitches in the first of the three sc's?

    >16. Ch 1, sc, ch3, *sk 1 st, sc in next, ch3* around, to join ch 1 dc in 1st sc.>

It's the "to join ch 1 dc in 1st sc" part that has me confused. How exactly am I doing the join at this point?

Thanks so much, and sorry if I come off airheaded--I just can't wait to see how this looks when it's done!

    Blessings~

  16. Hi Elizabeth, on row 15, yes it is a picot that you will be doing on top of the dtr. The point builds from dc to dtr and back to dc. On row 16, at the end, by chaining 1 and then making a double crochet in the first stitch your thread is placed in the middle of the space where you will start the next row. I hope this helps. Email me if there are any questions.
