August Granny Pick Beginning

This is my first square of the Elegant Pineapple Afghan, the granny pick of August. Its really much prettier then the picture shows. This is going to be such an amazing afghan.

Square number two is started, just completed row 4. Wouldn't this size make a nice coaster / mini doily? Ride home will most likely finished this square and possibily another. Hope the traffic is better!

Will be picking up the ripple granny to finish when I get home. There was too much yarn involved with the ripple to bring with me so this pineapple project was just perfect for traveling.

  1. uh oh.....this is going to be another beauty...
looking forward to the finished project....

  2. Very elegant. Would make a nice bedspread.

  3. I love this pattern Glor, and my first thought was that it would be a lovely doily!! It would look great tacked onto a pillow, too!

Can't wait to see more! You do such pretty work!

    Have a joyful week, gal!

  4. OMG I love that square! Where did you get the pattern? And what type yarn/thread are you using? It really is going to be gorgeous.

  5. This is a very pretty square indeed. I love the pineapple motif. It would be cute as a doily too.
    Hope you're staying cool.

  6. This is a beautiful square for the 'new' motif in it!

  7. Looks like a good start to a great pattern.

  8. It is already gorgeous so an entire afghan is going to be fabulous! Isn't it so nice to have a hobby that can travel with you!!! I know I got a lot done on the baby afghan for my dear friend Melissa. Hope you had a great trip. Best wishes, Tammy
