  4. I also love to crochet! I taught myself by following a book about 38 years ago. I started with yarn and afghans, but have advanced to doilies and thread crochet. Please visit my blog a yardsalesandcrochet.blogspot.com because I just posted an update on my latest project.

  10. For us beginners that really want to learn to crochet with thread, it would be so helpful if you posted a key to the abbreviations in your patterns. I happened upon this looking for 'easy' doily patterns. It would also be helpful if you listed the level of the pattern.

My Granny never had idle hands. If she were sitting, she was crocheting. I still have many of her doilies and I'm 62.

    Love this!

  12. How could I forget to tell you I think your doily is beautiful. I also make doilies, and have the first ones I ever made - a set I made for my Mama for her 44th birthday. When she died at age 80, all my family agreed I should keep it. She really used it, and it needs repairing, but I can do that!
    Thanks again.

  13. I also came to your site through another site. I was going to say by accident but I don't think anything is by accident. I love your doily. It is really a pretty one and appropriate for Spring.
I just retired and slowly finding my way back to crocheting. I too taught myself to crochet some 40 years ago. My mom crocheted alot from angels and snowflakes for the tree to Barbie doll clothes and baby afghans.
Thanks for this pattern and the others.
