Another Completed Crochet Along

Will you just take a look at these colors ...

This was completed by Stitchy Mc Floss and I am totally in love with these colors.  Goodness, it seems like each one I see I want ... oh yes, there's that crochet addiction again.

Do Tell What You Enjoy Monday

Monday is Do Tell What you Enjoy with Faith at
Crochet by the Sea   something as simple as listing four things that you enjoy, makes for a moment of peace and serenity.  In the hustle and bustle of this all too busy life it gives a moment's pause to think of and realize the goodness around us and for the taking.
 I enjoy
The first cup of morning coffee.
               The early morning hours.
Watching a sunrise and the earth awakening.
Starting my day with His word.

         May you enjoy your day,
may your day be joy.

Delightful Sight

Good morning.  We have sunshine ... big, bold and bright.  Such a delight after so much rain, sleet and snow.  Mother nature is certainly making up for the so many days of gray.

Another simply delightful sight is this adorable little Valentine Bag made by Tammy of T's Daily Treasures  I love this, and it could be any size you would like with sweet little surprises tucked inside.  The size?  You could pick your size ... larger, smaller ... a book, tea bags, super soft socks in a bigger bag ... a tiny one holding a favorite color nail polish ... any number of items and actually, not only just for Valentine's Day, any time!   Is this not a super way to say hello dear friend, I'm thinking of you.  Thanks Tammy for the inspiration.

Inspirations
and Joy
to your Day.

My Soldier

Thank you for your wonderful comments and support.  Just a few more moments of indulgence ...

Our son, in the middle.

Shortly he will be preparing for deployment.  God's blessings.

From The Cold South to The Colder North

Spent this past week in lovely, rainy, cold Georgia ... Ft. Benning.  Who would have thought ... the south, isn't that where the warm weather and sunshine is?  Our trip down was spent trying to drive out of the snow and sleet, the drive back was trying to beat the snow scheduled for us here ... mission accomplished!  The snow didn't start until after 4:00 am when we arrived home.

And  the biggest mission accomplished of our youngest son who officially graduated from Basic Training with the Infantry in the United States Army.  So very proud, so very full of much emotion, he was a sight to behold in his dress blues and when my husband pinned his blue cord to his uniform.  Yesterday he was just a baby, a boy ...

today he's a grown man, my soldier.
Have to get settled in and will be back later, blessings to your day and weekend..

Telling What I Enjoy

and linking up to Faith's Simple, Vintage and Crochet  for Monday's Do Tell What you Enjoy ...

*
I enjoy trying new recipes,
and truth be told, eating them!

I enjoy being silly.
It makes me feel like a kid again.
I really never want to grow up.
*
I enjoy laughter.
One of the best sounds in the world.
*
I enjoy the holidays.
The preparations and the anticipation.
*

So Do Tell,
 What DoYou Enjoy?

 See you at Faith's.

Another Crochet Along Finish

And its fabulous!  Pam of Holloway Family Adventures used 100% cotton Perle 8 mauve variegared thread that was made in Italy.  She got it when she lived there.  Doesn't it sound as good as it looks?  Such a sweet beauty.

Different Degrees of Progress

for the Crochet Along and oh so beautiful.  These are a few of the participants.  Just look at the colors and  the combo.  Aren't these magnificent.  I really do like this pattern and in each color I see I want one just like it.  The first is Alujala of  Aluajala's Cockroaches  Can't you just picture a vase of sunflowers?  Talk about bright and sunshine.

And the deep purple by Hookin It With Mr. Lick Lick.  She's going to edge this with pink.  Won't that be stunning!

Pammy Sue's of
Scotty's Place with this chocolate and ecru combo.  I've looked for the chocolate thread locally without success and now will have to look on line as I love this combo and have to have this!

And Pam of Holloway Family Adventures  I wasn't able to enlarge the picture but you can certainly see how gorgeous this is.  The thread is exquisite.

As for me ... I was almost done last night when I discovered a mistake ... blahhhh! ... so ripped out the last two rows and on a redo hopefully today.  I want to get the last four rows posted this weekend as I will be away for most of next week.

To a fabulous friday
of crocheting!

Thursday Thoughts

I'll lift you
and you lift me
and we'll both
ascend together.
-John Greenleaf Whittier

What's Doing Wednesday

Another early finish.  Charlotte at  Charlotte's Web posted her completed beauty yesterday.  Beautifully done Charlotte.  That's two completely done now.  I just love seeing the results and so happy that you had joined in.

As for here, the forecast here may have us homebound later today and tomorrow which means soup simmering on the stove, mugs of tea and crochet hook moving.

Hmmm, maybe we can get rid of some of the snow this way ... do you think we'll get any takers?

Have a good day.
Blessings.
