What's Doing Wednesday

In my small world of yarn and thread and hooks I'm still working on my Christmas afghan.  Do I dare say this has been going on for over a year now (having been packed away for a significant amount of time)?  In other words ... slow pokin' it.   I have managed to get 4 strips together with another two to be joined leaving 4 more strips, 28 squares to go.  I really liked this afghan at the beginning but some of my enthusiasm has seemed to wane, however, I will persevere.  I think once its all together and the border put on I'll be quite pleased.

Now enter my usual fickleness ... look what I saw at Debi's Hooks and Yarns ... ohhhhh, it has me distracted.  And you know what that means ... this could be on the hook before week's end ... another project!  And how I love projects.  The way I figure, the more the merrier!  Thanks Debi for sharing another wonderful pattern, you're keeping me happy.

Oh by the way ... I'm looking for a pumpkin type crochet wearable for our little grandpumpkin ... any suggestions?

  2. I think your Christmas afghan is lovely and I can't wait to see it finished. I agree with Debi Y on the little pumpkin hat. It's a great pattern for baby. I also agree about Debi's afghan. I'm really intrigued by that one as well. I think it will be be on my hook before long too. Have a splendiferous day!

  3. The Christmas afghan is looking great. You can't stop now. I'm sure you will be like speedy gonzalez and get it done in no time. I saw Debi's wonky ripple yesterday. I told her I've never done a regular ripple so mine would likely come out wonky anyways. Ha! Your little grandbaby is gonna be the cutest pumpkin ever. Best wishes, Tammy

  8. Gloria, the Christmas afghan is pretty. They do take a while don't they? It can get a little tiresome making all thos squares but worth it when finished. I just love my afghan and it is really warm. I like the ripple and you are not alone in being fickle. I am constantly seeing something I want to try when I have other unfinsihed projects...but we do what we enjoy right?
