The boy is home ...

arrived at noon today.  My army boy.  (Not sure he would like to hear "boy" but they, both of my sons, will always be my boys, can't help it, that's what they are!)  He looks wonderful.  It was such a nice dinner tonight having my little family all together.
Seeing them both sitting there, now grown men.  It is amazing to me at how quickly we got here.

He's here for a week, then back and off to Afghanistan for a year but I'm not really going to think too much about that for the next few days, just going to enjoy him being here.

  18. Good Morning, Gloria.
I have tried to post a message to you several days ago but it never went through I am a newbie at this and probably did something wrong. Anyway I wanted to wish you a great week with your son and family.
My son-in-law is also in the service and has served a tour in Iraq, so I know alittle bit about what you are going through but no it is not the same as having my son in the service. We owe these young people not only our thanks but a lot of gratitude for their dedication and courage.
That said, it has been over a week now and each day I check in to see if you have posted something. Not seeing a post today, I am concerned and going to try again to post something. I hope all is well with you and your family and that I(we) will see you back here soon. You provide me and others with great inspiration and encouragement and I miss not seeing a new post with your chariming pictures that you choose to go along with each message. Have a good week-end. My prayers are with you and I hope to see you back here soon.
