The season has arrived...

For me, always felt this week was the beginning of the holidays ...hard to believe that it is here.  Don't know where the time is going.  The days just seemed to have flown by.   Busily preparing the house.  Actually, it looks like a cyclone has gone through with boxes here and boxes there of decorations slowly making there way to their place in the house.  The past few years have had minimal decorating but this year its all coming out.  Our little grandbaby certainly does add to holiday spirit.  Toy shopping is again on the list!

This year will be using the Turkey fryer for the first time, hear that it makes a very moist turkey in only about an hour cooking.  Anxious to try it but I think I will miss the smells of Thanksgiving from a roasting turkey.

Hope your week is going well.    Wishing you all abundant blessings.

  4. Having deep fried a couple of turkeys before, you are going to love it! We notified several neighbors we were doing it and invited them to do a turkey as well. The oil is expensive for just one bird -- but so worth it.

  5. I've been thinking about you, Glor. Glad to hear all is well. An Australian friend here always did a Thanksgiving dinner and would fry the turkeys because it sure beat trying to prepare everything days in advance when you have a big group showing up. Everyone raved about it but since I don't eat meat, I never tried any. Everyone kept asking, don't you miss it? And honestly, I don't at all, don't even think about it. The funny thing is then they ask, then what do you eat? People forget about real food like fruits and veges and beans and nuts. :) Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week. Happy Thanksgiving! Tammy

  8. Nice to see a blog post from you, Gloria. I know you're going to have fun Christmas shopping for your precious grandson this year. :D I just finished wrapping most of Clayton and Adelyn's gifts. So if nobody else around here gets anything, I have them covered. ;) I figure it's easier to "hide" wrapped gifts than unwrapped ones. LOL Blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving season.
