We've finally hit single digit on the thermometer. Good day to stay tucked in.
Carpal tunnel surgery yesterday went like a breeze! Got there at 7:00am was on the way home at 9:30am. How amazing is that? Smarts a tad today but nothing that can't be dealt with. Catch this ... I can even crochet!
Taking advantage of some quiet time. Think I will get some good soup simmering in a bit, light some candles, find a good old black and white movie and kick back.
First to figure out how to do my hair single handed ...

Hi, glad to hear that your surgery went well and best of all it hasn't cut into your crochet time :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that your surgery went well. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow...you can crochet right after having carpal tunnel surgery?! That just blows my mind! LOL They must have changed how they do it since I had it done in '97. I had to have my hand/wrist in a splint for 10 days and then after that I had to do a bunch of hand/wrist exercises. I remember after the splint was taken off I tried opening a candy bar wrapper and about sent myself through the roof! :O Anyhoo, glad it's not that way for you. :)
ReplyDeleteWow Glor...wonderful news!!! Don't do too much though! Let it heal! So glad you aren't too uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
I am so thankful you are doing so well...it's a true answer to prayer. :) Isn't He just awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words you left on my blog. You inspire me with your kindness. I can't wait to see your crocheted socks. I know they will be beautiful.
Wishing you a wonderful day...blessings to you and yours always. :)
What'cha creatin out there Miss Gloria? Looking forward to see. Your day sounds perfect, crochet, candles, and B/W..and soup to boot...making chicken soup here...for us sickly ones it maight help clear stuffy noses...
ReplyDeleteSo glad surgery went well! I can't believe you're crocheting already!! Make sure to take it easy, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that surgery was quick and went well. Take it easy and stay warm. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it went well. I had my right hand done exactly a year ago, I tell you I wasn't crocheting until my splint was off and stitches were out!
ReplyDeleteI still do exercises to keep it limber and I find that I can't put as much pressure on the heel of my hand, as I could before surgery. ie: sun salutations in yoga.
I have found that the carpal in my left hand has reduced drastically since my right hand was fixed. I must have been really compensating with it!
Speedy healing. Glad you're feeling well!
Thank you for your kind words Glor! I don't know you but I love you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on the carpal tunnel. I have put my nerve test off and need to call and reschedule. They made me mad because I had taken a day off from work for a vet appt. for Leo and a dr. appt for me and they called me while I was at the vet to cancel!! They require 24 hour notice or they charge you $25. I let them have it. I was not happy. So I need to get on with it. I'm glad to hear that it's not such a big deal AND you could crochet after. That's wonderful!!
I told Pammy Sue that I would have a go at the crochet along too. I just need to look in my stash and see what colors tickle my fancy. For me that's the hardest part.
