The Easter Stitch Along at Stitchy Mc Floss begins and the design is just the cutest, happiest and will be a joy to work on. This was designed especially for Stitchy's Easter SAL by Barbara Ana Designs. Thanks to Stitchy and Barbara Ana! Hop on over to Stitchy's to join in the fun and for the link to this fabulous design. It promises to be a fun time.
I switched patterns and instead of the shells I decided upon this one for my other baby blanket. Its very simple (double crochet, single crochet ... alternating across each row) but has such a pretty look to it and will be quite warm. Seems to go up quickly and is a great sip tea and watch tv crochet. A friend of mine was working on one for her neice and I loved how it looked. A new pattern for one of my all time favorites.
And the snow has started. The weather reports of the past few days are calling for 4-6 ... or maybe 6-10 ... up to 14 inches of snow ... perhaps not much. They can't seem to make up their minds. Hey ... its April 1st ... Oh that Mother Nature, she certainly does have a sense of humor.
Well, aside from housework and cooking , have lots to keep me busy. Needle and hook will be flying, candles glowing.
Blessings in abundance.
I love this post, we have really blustery winds here today glad we don't have snow though!
ReplyDeleteBee happy x
Have a delicious day!
Oh, I love the baby blanket. It looks so soft and yummy. Isn't crochet the best! So many things you can make with it.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you like the design and that you are stitching along with me. :)
Snow? That Mother Nature really needs " a talking to", if you know what I mean! Perfect day to stitch a little and crochet, too.
Look for more SAL's in the future....but first we need to get this little guy all stitched up. :)
Blessings always

Hi Glor, what a cute Easter SAL. You have 23 days to get it done. :) Love the baby afghan. I've done the single/double before. I love things that work up quickly. The granny stripe is coming along as I finally had time to work on it today but ran out of one color so had to stop until I can get to the store tomorrow and then I hope they will have what I need. :/ Snow! Yikes! We had a good day here -- warm, but nice this evening. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI love that Easter bunny design - very sweet! That baby blanket is so cute. I like that pattern of sc and dc alternately too - it gives a nice texture and I agree, a perfect project to watch a movie with.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you live again? I can't believe you're still having all that snow and I'm about to have a green salad from my home grown leaf lettuce...oh, well...variety is the spice of life!
Happy stitching and happy weekend :-)
Oh Glor, this little bunny is going to be adorable! What a fun pattern to stitch. If I had time, I would definitely be joining in on this!.. But I've got several things going as it is, and a special request that someone has asked of me... I don't know if and how I'm going to do it all, but I just do what I can, one day at a time!.. Your baby blanket looks beautiful already! As for the snow, I can't believe it, but the warm fronts and cold fronts have shifted here, and we ended up not getting ANY SNOW!! We're all shocked around here, but we're GRATEFUL just the same! (0; Have a great weekend! ~tina
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how industrious you are! Cross stitch and a baby blanket going at the same time and you seem to finish what you start. Now that is an achievement in itself! Have fun on the cute bunny cross stitch. I love the pattern for the baby blanket, don't know that I have seen that combination of single and double before. I'm working on pair of crochet socks CAL, my first CAL. Hope I finish the pair!
ReplyDeleteI'm West. MA, and they were all over the board with snowfall predictions. Only got a few inches but would love to see more signs of Spring, instead of winter.
