Yesterday was 104.
Today we're closing in on 100.
No, no, it can't be ... not crocheting? Hmmmm, I know, I think I will pack up my yarn and grannie ripple and head out to Barnes and Noble Cafe ... one Java Chip coming up ... for a few hours of sipping and hooking...and cooling.
Where there's yarn, there's a way.
update: temperature hit 103 today ... cooler! (oh yeah!) and had a wonderful Soy Strawberry and Creme Frappucino at B&N, it was luscious ... move over Java Chip, you've got competition.
I'm with you, Gloria. It is so stinking hot and humid. I don't handle either one very well, and the two combined are just awful for me. :p I haven't done much of anything while it's been this hot. Well, I do the necessities, but otherwise things will have to wait. I did do some crocheting yesterday, but it was with thread and I was sitting in front of a fan. I think that's how this afternoon is going to be spent too.
ReplyDeleteBtw, your granny ripple is gorgeous! :D
Lovin' your granny ripple glor. Stay cool. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colours you've chosen for your granny ripple - very pretty indeed!
ReplyDeletethe ripple is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe rains have started, thank goodness! so, the temperature has gone down for us. (sigh of relief!)
Lol...I've been feeling a little out of sorts the last couple of days so I've not done one drop of crochet...uuuggghhh! Your Granny Ripple is turning out GORGEOUS! I have to say again just how much I love those colors.

I have been crocheting a lot because it's too hot to go outside, so I hibernate in here where it's cool with the A/C running...your blanket's turning out so pretty...I really love that pattern :-)
ReplyDeleteWell its so cold here I'm crocheting so I don't have to turn the heater on.
