What is your favorite?

Some of my fondest crochets are the smaller ones.
Small doilies, coasters, motifs.  Especially ones that are delicate and lacy.  Its like taking a break in the middle of a large project.  The results are quick and sweet.  I never tire of these.  Many have been given away, some tucked inside cards, several on display, many stored in pretty boxes.  Some I use as bookmarks.  They are always around me.   I shall have to gather together all of them and just see how many there are.  I surmise that there are quite a few, but then, I could never have enough.

What is your favorite thing to crochet?

  3. Anything I make up as I go. Love crochet; it makes me bubbly! I especially love snowflakes because they work up so fast and I can move on to something else, which often is more snowflakes. :)

  4. One can never have enough beautiful things for their home so if you tire of ones that you have used for a while or want to find a good home you can always send them on to me. (Wink!) My grandmother made the most beautiful doilies EVER and also had them on the backs of her chairs, etc. Tiny little stitches that crossed my eyes even then. The ones that I have seen of ours are just as lovely. I'm so jealous!

  5. I love making doilies and blankets.

It's funny because one is worked in thread and the other in yarn, but I love making them both.

Doilies are like potato chips, you can't have just one. :)

Blessings to you and yours always. :)

  7. Hi Glor!

I spent Thursday going through my collections of vintage doilies. I never tire of this. :)

I have a praise in that our home has officially sold. I now have just 32 to days to find a home, pack and move. A little pressure? :) We put a bid on a home yesterday that will give "The Money Pit" a run for it's money.
I wanted to let you know that I so appreciate all of your support and kind comments and if I am absent the next few weeks from your blog please know I will return soon.

For whomever you nurture, have a happy and blessed Mother's Day.

  8. Love the doily shown. I love creating doilies and baby afghans. One thread and one yarn. Almost always I have at least one of each "in progress".

What is the source of the doily shown?
