Its been an umbrella kind of day.  For the most part, just a soft, steady, summer rain.  One that can make sleep most appealing, however other duties prevailed.

Unplanned but accomplished was the cleaning out of a hall closet.  One of those take something out deals and see something else that really has no purpose or use anymore which led to the next thing you see and so on and all of a sudden a closet dejunked and straightened.   Looks quite nice now, if I say so myself, but the highlight was a crochet project that I finally paid attention to and brought out of the closet.  Hmmm, this has been around now for ... ahhhh ...quite a while.  Its actually a fairly good size, almost fitting the top of a queen sized bed.
Do you see the hook in it?  I'm happy I left the hook with it, now I just have to pick up and continue with no second guess as to which size I was using.  How's that for an excuse for the hook collection I have been building?

Well I think this is all I have patience for.  I have been having quite a difficult time getting this far with Blogger today.  I still can't see my followers nor can I follow other blogs and more often then not can't leave comments.  I really hope this straightens out soon.

Anyway, hope that wherever you are, your evening/day is blessed.

  2. Sounds like a nice day. We've had gray skies all day, but no rain (yet). Your afghan is really pretty; it's large enough you could put a border on it and call it finished. I love the soft mauve tones you used. Enjoy your Sunday evening and I hope you have a great week. :-)

  5. What a beautiful afghan, Gloria! :) It was rainy here today, off and on, and tonight there was a pretty bad storm hit. We weren't home when it hit here, but there are plenty of limbs down to show for it. I was just glad there was no major damage.

  6. I hope it makes you feel better to learn that I do the exact same thing. I now have about 20-25 hooks, many of them the same size for this very reason.

I hope you're thinking about doing another doily CAL. I want to make something for my Thanksgiving table. (hint, hint) ;-)

  8. Hi glor - love the colors of your blanket.

When you sign in to Blogger - uncheck the 'stay signed in' button and that should solve the not being able to leave comments problem. I'm not sure if it will solve the other problems. :)

  11. What lovely colors! I always leave my hook in my project, too...glad I am not the only one. :) It's always nice when you find a UFO and start working on it again.

Hope you have a wonderful day and that blogger will start working again for you.

Blessings to you and yours always. :)

  12. Glor, thanks for the suggestion about the Between Meals doily. I love it. I have to pick up some other yarn today and I'm going to see if I can find the perfect "Thanksgiving" color for this. You're an angel!

  14. Hi! That's how I am usually but I am coming across projects that for whatever reason I have taken the hook away from it. :o( So I have to guess. Anyways....sorry you're having trouble with blogger. I hate that. If you didn't know it, your Wednesday post isn't showing up. It says 'not found'. Darn blogger!! Glad you've had rain. We have had very little.
