Library Book Sale Treasures

I love books, I especially love old books and I love craft books ...

a late morning stroll through the city library book sale and I left with a wonderful canvas bag and 5 craft books ... three Christmas, two Cross Stitch. The books were $1.00 each and are packed full of ideas, patterns, and recipes which I just could not resist.

The bag was a bit more but its a heavy duty canvas and a good size. (I'm also a pushover for totes and bags). Besides carting books I can always put in some yarn and thread.

There are some really cute and beautiful cross stitch patterns. Maybe I can use the bag for cross stitch ... I've been drawn to cross stitch again now for some time. I think maybe I need to work some of that into my time.

Aren't these pretty. Love the little toys.

As far as Christmas goes, I think its never too early. The recipes ... aren't these Pecan Cakes cute (a cousin I'm sure to cupcakes ... I'm sold!), the decorations, which can always be adapted to other times of the year. Lots of wonderful ideas.

I think these 5 books can and will keep me busy for a very long time.

I think this says it all.
The older I get the more I treasure something that has been given to me that has been made by the giver.
A true treasure.

To lots of treasured days.

  4. Oh my goodness! I love Mary Engelbreit, anything Mary Engelbreit!!! I have several of her books, t-shirts, cups, cans, etc. I've got a couple crosstitch books, and a wonderful crochet book that I intend to make several things out of. You are sooo lucky to score so many craft books at such great prices.

    Hugs XX
