Can you believe that there was no crocheting done today! I really was going to try and work on my December Doily but got puttering with Christmas decorations and lost track of time ... here is a bit of the results.
See this angel, she really is beautiful. I have had her for about 15 years. One morning when I arrived at work I found this box, beautifully wrapped, sitting in the hallway at the door to my office. This angel is what was inside. There was a card addressed to me and a nice sentiment for a happy holiday but without a name. It certainly was a lovely jesture and I always thought I knew who may have left her but she wouldn't say she did. Each Christmas that I take her out I silently thank her giver for this treasure she gave me.
The snowmen have taken their place in bay window. I saw in a magazine a large white cup and saucer with greens in it ... the cup and saucer was $195 ... I had these cups and dishes and stuck my dollar store trees in them ... far cry from
$195!
$195!
That's just a peek ... will get better pictures another time. Time for some rest, hopefully will finish tomorrow ... maybe the decorating and the doily.
I am feeling more festive already! I love the idea of your little trees in the cups! So cute! Hugs, Kerrie
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Gloria. Love the snowmen in the bay window. If I had a bay window that's what I would do, too. :) Your decorations are beautiful! I have yet to get started making things look like Christmas around here. Maybe tomorrow or Monday, though. :)
