One sitting, one way of the trip, produced a very good start on my round ripple. Crocheting is so very portable and so easy to take along. It just makes me love this craft even more. I did leave this in the car when we got to the deployment ceremony but would you believe there was a woman sitting directly in front of me who was working on a crocheted blanket! She didn't work on it during the ceremony but as we were early (good thing to get seats) she spent that time crocheting. Yes, of course, we got talking. You can't be by a fellow crocheter and not find something to chat about.
I also want to thank you all for the most wonderful comments on my last post. I cannot even begin to tell you how much they meant and the comfort they gave. You have warmed my heart.
Beautiful! Is this for the new grandson? How is the doily~ghan coming along? I am working on a potholder in the vintage dress pattern. So cute. I hope to post a picture soon of my progress. I am enjoying crocheting and part of that is having blog friends to share progress and projects. I love seeing your crochet projects.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Gloria! Love the colors! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! This is my favorite afghan and your colors are very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love a little take-a-long to do in the car..... It seems like wasted time if I'm not able to do a little project. :-) Good for you making such progress.
ReplyDeleteWe are so THANKFUL for our troops. Please pass that onto your soldier, along with our gratitude......
Warm blessings,
Spencer

ReplyDeleteHi Gloria, man oh man, this past week has been absolutely crazy. Looking forward to Spring Break which begins tomorrow afternoon for a week. You are keeping quite busy of late. Love the colors in your latest creation -- cream, blue, brown = wonderful! I haven't had time to crochet since the sand tsunami. Just been cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. Looks like a lovely ceremony for your son. Always nice to meet a fellow crocheter along the way. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is coming along nicely Glor. Looks like a fun project. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteIt is portable, another reason I love it. Your little feller's blankie is coming along..so pretty and so much love in every single stitch,he has no idea, bless his heart. I'm always happy and strike up a conversation when I see somebody moving a hook..it is not often, but once in a while..I always think to myself maybe I am talking to a blogger friend and don't know it....how fun would that be?
ReplyDeleteYou are making such wonderful progress. It is so pretty. I love the colors. Can't wait to see it all finished. :)
ReplyDeleteThe crochet love is spreading! I love it when I see someone crocheting in public. And I have found that crocheters are such friendly and nice people. :)
I've already got my fabric in the Q snaps waiting to start the SAL Friday. This is going to be so much fun. So glad you are joining us.
Blessings always (and prayers, too)
Really love those colors together!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI always take my crocheting in the car. I've even had hubby turn around when I've forgotten it :). He's so tolerable. lol. Great job on the afghan. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Glor! Love your ripple, the colors together most particularly. I loved working on Bella's ripple, it was an easy piece.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to mention that if you would like our club to send a care package to your son, for him and to share with fellow soldiers (the boxes are usually pretty full of stuff) go to the Bomber Girls web site (www.bombergirlslrc.com)when you have an address for him and submit his name for a care package in the mailing after this next one on Monday. We would love to send him some Bomber Girl love! :o)
xoxo
