Last night as we were finishing supper and glancing out we saw two deer just beyond our back yard into the orchard. They walked around for a while and then just sat down and looked about, for over an hour. In the stillness, I was struck (as I always am) by the beauty of nature and it seemed so appropriate the day before Ash Wednesday to so clearly see His presence.
God given, untouched by human hands, gentle creatures. Awesome, to say the least. I wish the pictures were clearer but these were the best I could get. I was going to go out but then I decided against it as I didn't want to scare them off.
It is a special time for me, a quieting and prayful time from which I hopefully will emerge a better person.
To those of you who walk this journey,
I wish you a good lent and beg your good prayers.
To all I offer my prayers.
Blessings

Oh wow! Like you, I am always awe-struck by the beauty created by our wonderful Lord...
ReplyDeleteThank you Glor for thinking about about me. Did the cucumber help the migraine? I woke up with a migraine myself today and am having a rough go of it. Like you, I'm ready to try anything at this point! Hope you have a good Lent.
Much love,
