Splendid Saturday

Good Morning!  We're having another day fit for snowmen.  Frigid!  Although only snow showers are expected today.  We have quite enough snow to last for a while now so no accumulation, thank you!

I see that a few have already started the crochet along and one picture is posted
by Pam at Holloway Family Adventures.  The thread she is using looks absolutely beautiful and just look at the doily she just completed - gorgeous!

Being very lazy this morning, off now to make a cuppa, morning prayers and get that hook moving.   Oh yeah, got to get the washing machine waltzing ... geesh, that can wreck a moment now, can't it?

Have a splendid Saturday.

  1. I just finished my first four rows. I am using a pretty robins egg blue and size 3 steel hook, because I can't find my size 4. :) This is my first time in a CAL and am looking forward to the next rows. Hope you enjoy your weekend. TTFN

  2. Hi Glor, I haven't moved my hook in a while, but my washing machine is waltzing at this very moment and it does the same dance nearly every day. :/ I just can't seem to get started on any projects at the moment. And tomorrow it is back to school. Gotta get our clothes ready before heading to bed. Have a great rest of the day. Tammy

  3. I've been working right along on my doily. I am up to round 14 or so now. I am using ecru and delft blue. So far it's looking pretty nice, if I do say so myself. :) Have a lovely day!

  4. Oh, I also wanted to add that the reason I am working ahead on this is because I'm actually going to be making two of them. :)

  5. Keep warm and I hope that waltz doesn't linger too long.

Pam's doily looks beautiful and she made it so fast it's just a miracle to me!

  7. Thanks for the shout out!! I love this, I can't wait to keep going on. I tried to read the instructions on my own, but for some reason it isn't clicking in my brain. Your instructions completely written out is helping me a lot.

  9. Better the washing machine waltzing than you ;-)

Hope you had a nice day and got a lot accomplished. I'm still waiting for the cat to wake up so I can take Gizzy for a walk....(because he's a stray and I don't have a litter box in here, but I let sleep in here on cold nights/and obviously days too ;-)

    Those crochet-along doilies are amazing!
