Make yourself familiar
with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen they are present with you.

A Crocheted Canvas
One of my latest projects is this newborn coverlet, 19 x 24 inches before the edging. A very simple, soft little blanket of single crochets to be"painted" in cross stitch.
Have to dig out my cross stitch patterns and decide upon a picture. Counted cross stitch is very easy to do on single crochet.
These are a few that I'm looking at so far. Still have books to go through.
What a lovely idea. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you are done. Why is it that when I do something in single crochet, I don't find it quite so enchanting? I think it is because the yarn here is just so thin. Your little coverlet is so pretty just as it is, but embellished, it's gonna be adorable! Do you use yarn for the cross-stitch part or DMC? Finish quick so I can see. :) Blessings, Tammy

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with, Gloria! I have never done counted cross stitch, although I have done stamped cross stitch many times. Anyhoo, I am sure whatever you come up with will be fantastic! :)
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's Prayer for Spiritual Adoption
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the preborn child that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.
Glory of The Season
Almighty God, Father of all nations, For freedom you have set us free in Christ Jesus. We praise you and bless you for the gift of religious liberty, The foundation of human rights, justice, and the common good. Grant to our leaders the wisdom to protect and promote our liberties; By your grace may we have the courage to defend them, For ourselves and for all those who live in this blessed land. We ask this through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, our patroness, And in the name of your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, In the unity of the Holy Spirit, With whom you live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Today is special ...
Today is God's gift to you, how you use it is your gift to God
Before the Threshold of My Day
I've much to do today, dear Lord, But let me kneel a bit Before the threshold of my day That I may enter it With mind serene and heart made fresh with fragrant heavenly dew. That every moment of the day I'll be reflecting you.
I love, love, love to crochet! Always looking for patterns, new threads, and yarn and to share the craft with others. An avid reader, enjoy cooking and finding new recipes and love laughter!
Very cool idea!
